Bio
Mr. Voneiff has 28 years of oil and gas experience, primarily in unconventional gas, and currently serves as CEO of Unconventional Resources, LLC, a US E&P company. He also co-founded and is on the Board of Directors of a Canadian sister company, Unconventional Gas Resources, LP. Prior to founding these current companies, Mr. Voneiff co-founded MGV Energy Inc. in 1997, a Canadian E&P company. MGV discovered the Horseshoe Canyon CBM play in Alberta and was acquired by Quicksilver Resources Inc. (NYSE:KWK). Prior to founding MGV, Mr. Voneiff was an engineer/manager with the consulting firm S.A. Holditch & Associates, specializing in the analysis and development of tight gas, CBM and shale reservoirs. Mr. Voneiff teaches graduate-level classes on Petroleum Economics and Reserves at Texas A&M University, is a member of the Texas A&M Petroleum Department Industry Advisory Board and is a member of the Texas A&M Energy Engineering Institute External Advisory Board. In 2005, Mr. Voneiff received the Sproule Lifetime Achievement Award from the Canadian Society for Unconventional Gas and also in 2005 was named, along with his business partner Mike Gatens, to the Aggie 100 as the number one company by the Mays Business School at Texas A&M University. Mr. Voneiff also was named as a finalist in the 2004 Ernst & Young Canadian Entrepreneur of The Year.
